Introductory Trial Flight

An Introductory Trial Flight is a great introduction to the joys of learning to fly a helicopter. You don’t require any previous experience and will be in safe hands with our highly-trained and experienced flight instructors. After an individual classroom briefing where you’ll learn more about safety principles and flying techniques, your flight instructor will guide you through a pre-flight inspection on the helicopter and answer any questions you may have. Then it’s up and away! Your 30-minute flight begins by learning more about the controls and start-up procedures, before you gently rise into the air. As you glide over the landscape, your instructor will give you an opportunity to handle the controls yourself, while maintaining safe control of the aircraft. Handling the controls of a helicopter for the first time is an unforgettable experience and gives you a taste of what it’s like to be a helicopter pilot. If you decide to continue your helicopter pilot training, the cost of the Trial Introductory Flight will be refunded upon completion of your first solo flight and logged as flight time towards your pilot licence.
